Coding With Buttons


Today we are working on our end effector. While working on our arm drive we decided to code the arm with the buttons on the controller. As our arm drive is the buttons, our motor drive will be the joysticks.

Our Arm Drive



We are working on our arm drive. Through previous tests we have now concluded how it will work. We will begin building the arm soon or very shortly. In our efforts we will believe our arm will be the best.

Fixing Up Problems & Wrapping Up



The day before we had problems with our gearing for the arm so today we're going to fix it up a bit more. We've gotten to the point where we've finished out the problem and have found a new arm design that will be beneficial for us to use in the competition.

Changing Gears



Today we will be changing some things around with the type of gears we use. Also we're considering exchanging the chain for a bigger gear if it can possibly be done. As or SolidWorks is finished we feel relieved and less pressured and focus more on our robot and blog.

SolidWorks and Chain Linkage





We are carrying on with the construction of our launcher and all is going well. At this rate, we should be done by next week, assuming nothing comes up and all runs smoothly. Also, we've finally finished our SolidWorks Assembly of our robot.

Launcher V 2.0

Unfortunately we have ditched our first attempt at creating a launcher. We have come up with a new idea and we are over 1/3 of the way through building it. We have added some "Team Swag" to our cart and it looks totally swagalicious.

Team Swag and End-Effectors


We've figured what we are going to do in regards to the launcher. we've figured out our design and have already begun work on it. Our plan is to finish construction on the launcher and end-effector by next week. We also must now find a way to decorate our cart and add some "team swag" to it, but we have a pretty good idea as to what we are going to do about that.

The Structure

We have finished our base structure. We have completed our drive system on one side and we are still building the other side. We have also successfully coded for our drive system, also we are beginning construction of our fork lift design. We have opted to use rope or string instead of chain.

The Building Process



As of now we are building the chassis to our robot for the VEX competition Starstruck. We are the experimental group that test out what will work better for our robot while competing against others. Our motive is to dominate others in the arena!
